I built a custom PCB for an autonomous robot as part of a mechatronics class. The PCB integrated a microcontroller with 7 sensors, 3 motors, and 2 solenoids.

The PCB

The board has 57 unique components. I designed it to account for current draw, distinct voltage levels, and capacitance. I used EasyEDA and ordered the boards from a manufacturer, then soldered everything by hand.

Beyond the board

I was in charge of the electronics systems and integration on my team. Along with the custom PCB, I designed an IR line following board, the solenoid ball drop system, and the PID control loop for our autonomous robot.
